What is Freebie Trading?

Freebie Trading is is done on an IFW Site – Incentivized Freebie Website.

There are several Forums on the internet, dedicated to Freebie Trading, where people work together to make money with freebie websites. A good Forum, like Calistyle, will provide all the information you need to get started right way. It is free to join and you’ll find video tutorials that cover all the basics, a community of friendly, helpful traders for support, as well as proof that this is a legitimate money making opportunity.

Project Payday introduces people to freebie trading, shows them the basics and directs them to forums where they can get started. I joined Project Payday as an experiment to see if it would work, why not! It was easy enough to get started and I made money right away. I did freebie trading for about two years and made an average of $1,000 per month, part time, from my home computer. There were others who were making from $100 to $2000 a month or more at that time depending on the amount of time and effort they choose to put into it.

Freebie Trading works like this: After registering on the forum, viewing the Tutorials and choosing a Mentor you sign up on a freebie website that advertises products and services (CPA Offers), using a referral link provided by your Mentor. These are known as IFW sites. You try 1 or 2 of the offers on a trial basis for free or a very low cost. The cost depends on which offers you choose. Your “Trader” pays once you complete the offer requirements. They make a profit, you make a profit, the site makes a profit.

Once you have completed several sites, and feel you have run out of offers you are willing to do, you can start to send referrals to the site(s) yourself and get paid for each referral that completes the offer requirements. There’s more money to be made here because you can send as many referrals to the site(s) as you want and collect the “Prize” (usually cash) over and over again. The forum will show you how to get your own referrals. It takes a little time and effort to get established and build a reputation at first, but a good Mentor will be there to help you.

You will not get rich with freebie trading. But, if you are looking for a Hobby to make some extra money or if you want to start a business and earn a few hundred dollars or even an extra $1000-$2000 a month, then Freebie Trading could be just what you are looking for!

What is CPA ?

What is CPA ?

What is CPA?  CPA stands for Cost-Per-Action.  This simply means that you get paid for getting your site’s visitors to perform some kind of action.

A typical action is to get people to fill in their email or zip code and click enter.   This can be very powerful because your web visitors are not  required to buy anything but you still get paid.

Types of CPA Offers:

E-mail submit offers only require the visitor to enter a valid email address for you to get paid.  These offers do not require credit card information so the pay per conversion tends to be rather low.   However, conversion rates on this type of offer can be very high.

ZIP submits are similar to E-mail submits but instead they require the user to enter a valid ZIP code.  Again, these offers do not require credit card information so the pay per conversion tends to be rather low while conversion rates on this type of offer can be high.  Here is an example of  this type of offer on a site I built for a  Home Modification Loan Program.  This is actually a pretty high paying offer at $10 for the ZIP submit.

Short form CPA offers require more information than E-mail and ZIP submits.  They usually require full address, email address, date of birth and gender etc. but in most cases no credit card details are needed.  An example of a short form CPA offer would be a scholarship offer.  Payout for short forms vary from around $1 up to $10.

Long form CPA offers require the visitor to supply more information than the short form type.  Insurance and credit card companies often use long forms.  Because so much more  information is required from the visitor, conversion rates tend to be much lower than for simple offers like E-mail submits and ZIP submits.  However, the pay out for long form offers tends to be higher.

Free trial CPA offers usually require credit card information.  In most cases the customer pays a shipping and handling fee for the trial, usually about $5-$10, although I saw one today that was $19.95.  Once the trial period ends  the company automatically ships, and bills, the customer for the next shipment,  unless the customer cancels the subscription.  The CPA affiliate gets paid when a customer signs up for the free trial.  The payout for this type of offer can be from $20 and $40.

CPA Sales offers, like traditional affiliate sales, pay when a customer makes a purchase through your link.  The payout varies but is often fairly high, from $20 and more, and can also be based on a percentage of the purchase price.  Because an actual purchase is required the conversion rates tend to be lower than for most other types of CPA offers.  Here is an example of  a site I built around these types of offers Best Anti Snoring Pillows.

CPA Download offers are for software that can be downloaded free. The software can be a game or toolbar utility. The software will often include some kind of advertising.  The user can remove the software at any time.  With CPA download offers you get paid once someone downloads and installs the software on their computer.  Marketed properly this type of offer can be very profitable as no personal information is required. The visitor simply downloads the software.

PIN submit offers are downloads to a cell/mobile phone. The customer enters their mobile number and will get a PIN code sent to the number. To get the download, for example a ring tone, the PIN code has to be entered. Payout for CPA PIN submits vary from about $2 and can go up to about $10.

So what is CPA?  Now you have a basic understanding of what types of CPA offer are available…

Using Squidoo to Drive Traffic

What is Squidoo?

Squidoo is a top rated authority site that you can use to create quality back links to your own site. This free marketing tool allows anyone to quickly and easily make their own web pages, or Lenses, even if they have no idea how to build a website.

Google gives Squidoo a high ranking which means when people search for something on Google, and you have a page on Squidoo about what they’re searching for, you could get listed on the first page of the Google’s search results. How cool is that?

Here’s a few tips for creating a Squidoo Lens:

Choose a user name that’s related to your Niche
When creating your Lens use your main Key Word phrases when describing what your page is about
Your Title and Lens URL should also include your main Key Word phrase
Add images.  Search engines like multi-media content!
Include a hyper link back to your site in your description
Use your main Key Words in your image labels and create hyper links back to your site in images too
Include an RSS feed module that links back to your Blog
Choose “include excerpt” or “no excerpt” rather than “everything available”
Choose “no HTML” as it can effect the formatting of your Lens
Be sure to test your links before you “Publish” your Lens

Moving Foreward

Wow, what a year!

I started my Internet Marketing journey nearly a year ago.  I’ve learned a LOT, achieved many of my goals, and met many wonderful people along the way.

Internet Marketing has so much to offer.  I’ve built my blog, created and monetized a niche site and have a growing list.  I have plans to build more niche sites, explore CPA marketing and continue to work on several other projects I’ve been working on over the past few weeks.

Christmas is almost here and a new year to follow right after so I’m working on my business plan for 2011.

I want to wish everyone a safe and glorious holiday season.

Weeks # 9 and #10…

Arrrrghhh…

I fell behind.  I changed my mind on a small detail on my graphics and it happened.  But no worries.  The course was wonderful and I’ll get all my homework wrapped up soon!

I’ll be posting about the last two classes, as well as a review of the entire course, in the next week.  Promise!

I do want to highly recommend that, if you’ve ever felt stuck and frustrated with the time it’s taking you to build your internet marketing business, you should consider investing in good coaching.  Mark’s course gave me so much information that it will keep me moving forward for a long time to come.  My mind races with possibilities!

Week #8, Technical Challenges…

OK, I admit it,  I fell behind this week.  But it’s OK.

Mark went over the technical details of adding images to products, uploading products to cpanel, adding thank you pages etc…

But I haven’t gotten my final graphics back from the designer I hired yet so it pretty much fell on deaf ears for me.  No worries, Mark has the videos available for me to review when I’m ready.

I did create an email course for Aweber, which was actually kind of fun.  I’m also set up with Ckick Bank, something I had done a while back.

So, the six months I spent learning on my own is still coming in handy and I have Mark to fill in the blanks and keep me moving in the right direction.  I really do hate the idea of having classes end!

This afternoon is week #8.  Don’t tell Mark, I took a peek at the agenda earlier today.  Looks like another busy week ahead!

Final graphics are almost ready so I’ll be playing catch up soon.

Week #7, The Sales Page…and More!

Things are moving along so fast.  I’m enjoying this so much that I wish it would never end!

Week #7 we continue to “Build Our Lists” by using Ad Swaps.  I’ve have found that ad swaps are a great way to build a list…FAST!  Very much looking forward to reporting my results with this.  As we all know, the money is in the list!

In addition the ad swaps we entered the world of Twitter.  No surprise, I already had a Twitter account.  In fact I had several!  I did add one specifically for Lesley Klatt though and I’m building it up slowly and trying to add value to the community.

Next, it’s time to create the sales page for my ebook.  I could worry over this forever but I know I need to get it out there!  Graphics are ordered and the final touches will soon be in place!

Week #6, Product Creation – Who Me?

This weeks class begins with a overview of PLR (Private Label Rights) products and where to find them.

Looks like the time has come to create our own product!  In this case we’ll be using PLR products rather than creating a product from scratch.  Now, I’ve already created my own product so I have a little experience here but it’s still been a challenge for me.  I guess I’m never satisfied but I do realize that it’s better to “get it out there” than to keep trying to make it perfect.

In addition to that we discussed the use of PDF editors to create our product and registering our domains so we can promote our product.

Next we need graphics for our new product and Mark gave us a good source for them.  I’m dragging my feet a little here because I want to have a feel for the finished product before I can decide on what kind of graphics will fit.

Mark also gave us a bonus project to work on so we can begin to make money right away with an OTO (one time offer).  Nice!

Home work:

1.  Register Domain name (name of product)

2.  Purchase ebook(s) to edit into unique product

3.  Create our first ebook

4.  Purchase graphics

5.  Bonus project

6.  Continue to post to high profile blogs
